‘Kimerald’ once again

Ex-lover Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson will star in a new TV project together as they will lead the cast of the new drama series, “Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin.”

This television series is dubbed to be Kimerald’s “primetime comeback” and reunion project as they were last seen in 2012 in the romantic comedy movie “24/7 in Love.”

The good news was announced by Dreamscape last October 24. The show includes Jake Cuenca, Coleen Garcia, AyenMunji-Laurel, Bong Loyzaga, and Helen Gamboa-Sotto.

The show is being directed by Dan Villegas and is about three triathletes who come from different walks of life. And according to Villegas as posted in news.abs-cbn.com, “it serves as a metaphor for the challenges in one’s life.”

During the press conference, Chiu admitted that she was reluctant at first.

She said as reported by ABS-CBN, “Nung una, siyempre medyo alangan po talaga ako ng sobra. This is something new sa mga taong sumusuporta talaga sa akin.”

Adding that it’s high time that they reunite as both of them have already moved on in their personal lives.

She said, “Kapag umoo po ako at humindi, may iba’t ibang reaction sa dalawang decision ko na ‘yun. Siguro it’s about time.

Anderson on the other hand thinks that it is “inevitable” for him and Chiu to work alongside each other as they started showbiz together.

“Ako naman, lagi akong optimistic kasi sabay naman kaming nagsimula.”

“Impossible na hindi kami magsasama ulit kasi nag-start kami sa reality show and then 10 years later, nandito pa rin kami.”

He also added that he is grateful for being given a chance to work with Chiu again.

“This is a very special moment for me. The last time na nakatabi ko siya sa ganitong event, siguro 21 years old ako. This is a very special moment for me. Medyo first time sa press conference na na-speechless ako. Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin ko. Pero at the end of the day, sobrang thankful ako.”

The actor also said that this is their way of giving back to their fans who have been there with them since the very beginning of their careers.

It’s going to be completely different.

Dreamscape is yet to announce when the show will air.
